"Listapad" - disinterested space of pure art
The event gathered director, actor and scriptwriter from Kyrgyzstan Aktan Arym Kubat, first deputy minister of culture Vladimir Karachevski, executive director of film studio “Belarusfilm” Oleg Silvanovitch, Festival Directorate, guests of the Festival and media representatives.
According to general opinion of the participants the festival was successful and was held at a very high professional and creative level.
Dilyara Tasbulatova, member of international Film Critics Jury, compared this year festival edition to mini-Cannes.
“From the first day of the Festival I felt intellectual tension that has remained till the end. Program selection is virtuosic, we found ourselves in disinterested space of pure art ” – noted Dilyara Tasbulatova.
Ludmila Saenkova, member of International Film Critics Jury, pointed out that the Festival has gained strength and moved on to a new level. It’s very important that the festival has its own spectators and Ludmila Saenkova made a suggestion to create a special club for the festival audience.
In his turn, Aktan Arym Kubat noticed that he hadn’t expected that MIFF “Listapad” is held at such a high level.
Kath Shelper, head of “Youth on the March” Jury visited Belarus for the first time and was delighted with friendly atmosphere of the Festival.
“There were a lot of interesting films, outstanding guests and the love towards the cinema united all the Festival participants ” – noticed Kath Shelper.
Vladimir Karatchevski thanked the Festival Directorate for it professionalism and patience and confirmed the intention of the Ministry of Culture to work on the further rise of the festival level and its promotion on the international cinema market.
