The Cannes 2012 Official Selection Unveiled!
The second feature film of Sergei Loznitsa IM NEBEL (IN THE FOG) will take part in the main competition of Festival de Cannes 2012. His first feature film MY JOI took part in the main competition two years ago. New Loznitsa’s film is produced with the participation of Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Latvia and Belarus.

Directors Across Borders (DAB) is currently accepting applications for a Story Development Workshop for feature films which will take place in Yerevan, Armenia June 11-15, 2012. The Workshop will focus on the creative aspects of story development and will help to provide emerging scriptwriters, producers and directors the fundamental skills to create more engaging cinematic stories and package them in ways that will make them more competitive in the global film market.
World-known Italian scriptwriter Tonino Guerra dies at 92
Tonino Guerra, a screenwriter and poet who collaborated extensively with Italian directors Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni, has died at the age of 92 on March 21, 2012, Agence France Presse reported.
