This film is dedicated to the workers' strikes that swept over Polish
coastal cities in December of 1970, only to be brutally crushed by communist
authorities. Czarny czwartek (Black Thursday) focuses on the story of the
family of Gdynia shipyard worker Brunon Drywa, who was shot dead during riots
at a train station in Gdynia on December 17, 1970.

Antoni Krauze
Born 1940 in Warsaw.
Graduate of the Directing Department at the Łódź Film School. Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and co-operated with the Student Satirist Theatre (STS). Creator of multiple short films, produced by the WFO film studio in Łódź.
