On November 8-12,2011 workshops and conferences with the participation of leading Polish documentary filmmakers will be held in the framework of the XVIII MIFF "Listapad".

On November 6th, 2011 a musical-poetic show “12 months of tango” performed by Veniamin and Alika Smekhovy will be held within the framework of the XVIII Minsk IFF “Listapad”. Veniamin and Alika Smekhovy also prepared a special treat for Belarusian viewers – poetical musical show “12 Months of Tango”.

Veniamin Smekhov says: “12 Months of Tango” was inspired by CD with tango music written by Polish composers of the 30s our family had and enjoyed for a long time. I don’t know any Polish, but I was looking for music which reminded me of 4 seasons of the year – winter, spring, summer and fall. I left unchanged just one line from original Polish song “you can pick up stars from the skies as if they were cherries”, I should confess that the last time I was so enthusiastic about the work was 30 years ago when I was working on the musical “Ali Baba and 40 robbers” 30 years ago.
The show will take place on November 6, 2011 in the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre (Miasnikova str. 44) at 19.00
